Demonstrations on both Friday and Saturday

People for Life will sponsor two demonstrations at the 1611 Peach Street Professional Building this weekend, one on Friday evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and one in the usual timeframe of 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM on Saturday. These will be the 213th and 214th demonstrations facilitated by People for Life. Both will take place on the State Street side of the building.

Extra traffic on Friday evenings makes this a good time for picketing and demonstrating at the Professional Building. The Lipizzaner Stallion show at the Tullio Arena this Friday at 7:30 PM will hopefully increase the amount of traffic in the downtown area. With shorter days and colder weather, however, only a few more evening demonstrations are anticipated for the balance of 2001. (This could quickly change if plans for opening the abortion facility begin to move forward.)

Recent demonstration attendance has been good, with 32 people participating last Saturday.

In recent days, ads for the Erie abortion facility have been noticed in the new Erie and Meadville Talking Phone Books. The ad in the Erie book is listed under "American Women's Services." In the Meadville book, it is listed under "A Woman's Right." Both ads offer "the abortion pill" and "abortions to 24 weeks," and both feature Brigham's trademark 1-800-ABORTION phone number. The Erie ad features the address for Brigham's website,
