Next Demonstration
Donations sought for 16th & Peach pro-life billboard

NEXT DEMONSTRATION . . .

Demonstrations at the rate of two, and sometimes three, a week are continuing at the 1611 Peach Street Professional Building, the site of Erie's possible abortion facility.

The next demonstration will be Thursday, September 6, 2001 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. According to our records, this will be demonstration #205. Because Peach Street remains closed to traffic, the demonstration will take place on the State Street side of the Professional Building.

Each demonstration is, of course, an expression of opposition to the establishment of an abortion business here in the Erie-Northwestern Pennsylvania community at a future point in time. Each demonstration is also, however, an expression of disgust at the very suggestion that even one innocent unborn baby might be legally killed for convenience or legally killed for profit anywhere in the United States or anywhere on the face of the earth.

Ongoing community support for the demonstrations is one indication that Erie, Pennsylvania is prepared to actively, passionately contend for each human life in danger of destruction at any future Erie area abortion center.

PRO-LIFE BILLBOARD AT 16th & PEACH . . .

Another indication of Erie's determination to remain a kind and ACTIVELY compassionate community is the large, illuminated, pro-life billboard which has been situated just outside the walls of Erie's pending abortion facility for the past 13 months. The billboard offers help to women contemplating abortion. It is now time for the pro-life community to decide whether this billboard continues to be an appropriate and effective channel for our efforts to save babies and serve their mothers.

People for Life believes strongly that the billboard ought to remain in place, at least while Dr. Steven C. Brigham continues to express interest in killing area unborn children. The unmistakable message of this VERY strategically placed billboard is that Erie has better solutions to offer. We do not need abortion. We do not need to destroy innocent human beings in order to address personal or societal problems.

People for Life is now conducting a fundraising campaign to keep this billboard in place for another year, or at least so long as plans to open an abortion business in the Professional Building are on the table.

More about the billboard, including a photograph and a donation form, can be found on the 'Net at: www.peopleforlife.org/billboard.html (A photo is also on display this week at our Waterford Fair booth.)
