Demonstrations this Friday and Saturday

A demonstration of community opposition to abortion and to the opening of an abortion facility in Erie will take place tomorrow in the 700 block of West 18th St. in Erie. The demonstration will begin at 10:00 AM and will continue until at least 11:30 AM. It will coincide with a legal proceeding that is scheduled to take place before District Justice John Vendetti, 718 West 18th St., involving the City of Erie and Dr. Steven Brigham, the abortionist who has announced his intention to open an abortion facility here in Erie.

The purpose of this demonstration, like the 120 or so previous demonstrations, is not to intimidate but to educate. The basic message is that abortion kills unborn children and that killing those who cannot act or speak in their own defense is particularly reprehensible and unacceptable in a society which claims to believe in human rights.

There will also be a demonstration at 1611 Peach St. on Saturday, December 16, 2000 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

People for Life does not condone illegal or disorderly activities and expressly condemns all acts of violence, including violence directed abortion facility personnel.
