People for Life will sponsor a demonstration opposing the opening of an abortion facility in Erie on Thursday, January 6, 2000 from Noon until 1:00 PM. The demonstration will take place at the Professional Building, 1611 Peach Street, Erie. A demonstration is also scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2000 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM.

The violation of basic human rights is never-and must never be allowed to become-a private matter. People for Life regards public outcry against the presence of abortion in our community to be an obligation, as would be the case with the systematic and deliberate denial of any of the basic human rights, such as the rights to food, shelter, medical care, and basic education. Demonstrations will continue as long as an abortion facility threatens the lives of unborn children in the Erie area-and mocks the democratic ideals which have heretofore offered at least some protection for the rights of the weak, the powerless, and the less fortunate.

People for Life, Inc. is an all-volunteer, non-profit, citizen's organization committed to affirming the intrinsic value of human life. People for Life is dedicated to advancing true justice by working for the protection of all innocent human lives, whatever the age, race, sex, physical condition, economic status, or place of residence (including the womb). People for Life encourages local involvement through education, political awareness, and the promotion of loving alternatives to the primitive and violent "solutions" of abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia.
