Demonstation on Saturday
Displays Planned for Wattsburg Fair and We Love Erie Days

People for Life will join with other members of the community to conduct a public demonstration on Saturday, August 12, 2000 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, to oppose the opening of an abortion facility in Erie. The demonstration will take place at the Professional Building, 1611 Peach St., Erie. Ads in the local Yellow Pages indicate that Dr. Steven Brigham intends carry out abortions up to the SEVENTH MONTH at this location.

People for Life will continue a long tradition, next week, by presenting information about abortion at area fairs, beginning with We Love Erie Days and the Wattsburg Fair. This is the first time that two of our fair exhibits will be running concurrently. Literature on a wide variety of abortion related topics will be available free of charge. Our visitors will have an opportunity to view an excellent full color video of the living fetus in the womb, recorded using a process called contact embryoscopy. Genuine medical school fetal models will also be on display.

The fair exhibits will provide more opportunities for area residents to sign People for Life's statement of opposition to the establishment of an abortion facility in northwestern Pennsylvania. Those who sign will also have an opportunity to obtain "NO ABORTION MILL" bumper stickers.

Helium filled pro-life balloons were a popular item at last year's fairs. Balloons will be available once again this year, free to any child accompanied by an adult. Last year, nearly 2000 balloons were distributed. Expenses involved are being defrayed this year by contributions from local physicians.
