Sidewalk Counseling Workshop Today, Blasco Memorial Public Library

Ann Scheidler is a native of Chicago and a graduate of Mundelein College, which is now a part of Loyola University in Chicago. She used to work as a caseworker for Cook County Public Aid, before "retiring" to raise a family.

Ann has seven children - four boys and three girls, ages 15 to 30. She also has six grandchildren.

Ann is the Assistant Director of the Pro-Life Action League / the Editor of Pro-Life Action News, a quarterly publication of the Pro-Life Action League / and the Coordinator of Speak Out Illinois, a coalition of pro-life groups in northern Illinois.

Today, Ann will be talking primarily about sidewalk counseling. She also speaks and writes about the history of abortion and the conversion of abortion providers - which, of course, would be the best and most effective way out of our current problem, here in Erie.

Ann Louise Scheidler seems to be following in mom's footsteps. In 1998, she received the Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University, where she majored in History. Ann Louise has also studied at St. Clare's University in Oxford, England. Her resume says that her career objective is to work with young people. She is currently the Coordinator of Youth Ministry at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sycamore, Illinois.

Ann Louise has been the Coordinator and Director of Teen Speak Illinois in '98 '99, and 2000. Teen Speak Illinois is a state-wide pro-life teen conference held each January.

She served as the Vice-President of Pro-Life Loyola University Students from August 1996 to May 1998.

In her work with the Pro-Life Action League, Ann Louise has counseled young women and teenagers / spoken about abortion and related topics in high schools.
