    Local Participation
We set a new Bus Trip participation record in 2013, when 265 northwestern Pennsylvania residents took out buses to Washington to call for change. Among these were over two-dozen college students from Gannon University and Merchyhurst University; 50 middle-school students, several organized church groups, and families with children of all ages.

    The Trip
Supreme Court      The many hours on the road and on the cold streets of Washington can be tiring, but through their experiences many marchers have gained a deeper sense of solidarity with the unborn and with the pro-life cause.
Our marchers will board Anderson Coach & Travel motor coaches at the St. George Church parking lot, 5145 Peach St., Erie, at 11:00 p.m., Tuesday evening, January 21. Cars must be parked along the northern and eastern perimeters of the parking lot, where they are less likely to interfere with regular church activities.
Our group will arrive at RFK Stadium, Lot 3 in Washington at approximately 7:00 a.m. Click here for an areal view of RFK Stadium and Lot 3.
RFK Stadium is several miles from the National Mall, the Capitol, and the Supreme Court, the focal points of the March for Life. Click here for a map showing the location of RFK Stadium relative to the National Mall. Our marchers will use the DC Metro System to commute from RFK Stadium to the National Mall and various other points of interest. Click here for a map of the National Mall showing the approximate location of the Rally, the route of the March, and the way to the the Capitol South Metro Station, where the marchers will catch the Metro for the return trip to RFK Stadium.
The March for Life will begin with a Rally on the National Mall at noon.
Our buses will depart for Erie at 5:00 p.m.
We will return to Erie early Friday morning, January 23 at approximately 2:00 a.m., depending on traffic and road conditions. The bus trip squeezes the entire March for Life experience into about 27 hours!

    Places to Visit
Although united by a common cause, People for Life's marchers are a diverse group, drawn from all across northwestern Pennsylvania. When they arrive in Washington, they will divide into smaller groups, or set off on their own, and spend the morning visiting various points of interest in our nation's capitol.
Points of special interest include government sites such as the Capitol Building, White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Vietnam Wall; the March for Life headquarters and exhibits at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill; the United States Holocaust Museum; and National Right to Life's headquarters at 512 l0th Street NW. National Right to Life is right across the street from Ford's Theater, where Lincoln was assassinated, and next door to the Petersen House, where Lincoln died.

    Peace of Mind
You won't need to worry if you are unfamiliar with Washington or not with a group of friends. Your bus captain will carefully review everything you need to know, and you will have an opportunity to team up with a small group that will be guided throughout the course of the day by one of People for Life's many March for Life veterans.
Occasionally someone will express concerns about security during the March, for themselves or other family members. The March for Life is an entirely peaceful and orderly event that is suitable for people of all ages (who are in good health and able to stand for extended periods and walk the mile-or-so route of the march), including families and small children. There is, in fact, a palpable sense of community, joyfulness, and optimism, and this has become an enduring hallmark of the March for Life.

    Congressional Meetings
We are planning to meet, after the March, with the Members of Congress who represent northwestern Pennsylvania. Please check back at a later date for more information.

    Sponsorships
Students and others on tight budgests are encouraged to inquire about sponsorships. If you would like to help sponsor one or more deserving individuals (someone to attend the March for Life in your place, perhaps), this would be very much appreciated!
